The word psalms is often translated as “songs of praise.” But what makes the Book of Psalms so deeply human — and so meaningful to this brand — is that not every song is joyful or peaceful. During a stretching season in my own life, I began to understand something that Psalms has reflected all along: we are capable of holding more than one emotion at a time — and each one is worthy of being acknowledged.
